I had the opportunity to visit Moscow in the autumn of 2021, and it was then that I met beautiful Kristina. I actually had wrote to her on Telegram prior to my trip to introduce myself, and to ask if she would be available the week that I would be visiting, and she replied that she would be, and that she would be happy to meet me. I somehow was able to tell that she is kind and courteous just from looking at her photos, and when I met her, I was proven correct! Her photos match exactly as in real life, if not, she is even better in person. All is incredibly transparent in her photos — and this is really what helps you with communication. Being able to speak to someone who doesn't think like "everyone else" means you have a much higher probability of being able to find common ground, and when there are some interesting differences between us to begin with, such as my dislike of using technology for religious purposes (which I write about more below) or her interest in studying astrophysics, it becomes easier to explain things to people like herself — since they already see the world in very different ways than you and I. So when I first met Kristina, I did realize that we would be talking to each other essentially about everything, because our conversation was already shaped by beliefs in particular religions, which were important for me but also limiting to them in her case, and this was incredible: I honestly believe that none of us today knows how many others live in this world. However, as we dug deeper into our conversations and gained insights about ourselves through each other's eyes, it became clear that in addition to just talking about religion, I actually share her views on science and technology! For example, I genuinely believed that Einsteinian gravity is fake science until I met Kristina, and so every time her telegram sent me emails — and often those emails contained information from outside sources I had somehow missed, simply because I had become too acclimated to thinking that scientists want to lie to us about their hypotheses. Even my suspicion of manipulating data for convenience was something I shared publicly, before I met Kristina, of course. I truly didn’t understand why everyone seems intent on lying to us about the state of our civilization unless that lie is part of their story. As it turns out, scientists all over the planet are now similarly concerned that our way of life is threatened! Our conversation was vast and excursional — perhaps even unpreвосходable to today’s current world — and yet even here’s where human boundaries start to narrow down. Once Kristina understood my belief that humans shouldn’t treat animals as objects, and that therefore exploiting animal labor must happen to benefit humans directly, instead of indirectly, she began to work on solutions that would enable humans to continue making money off the same premises! Kristina's solution was to change the entire value structure around species, not only to make it easier to justify treating an animal as an object for payment (since underlying that whole system), but and to remove altogether from themselves, nevermind that doing so harmens nonhuman species and depletes land-based habitat of all kinds of plant and insect species that humans need in abundance (!). This has been amazingly challenging to overcome for those working to reduce animal cruelty and promote animal welfare; for instance, once I raised up arms against experiments on monkeys based on statements made under threat of punishment, rather than allowing monkeys to suffer these procedures themselves — I mean, surely I know what it would take to raise awareness within my community, given the widespread perception among American society that experiments should be done on animals, right? — and when I revealed myself to be against experiments on primates because primates consistently perform worse after receiving extended periods in isolation… That takes one across at least three points of reasoning! I mean, what if animals were free to determine whether or not they wanted to be used in certain experiments and protections existed not merely against deliberate actions, но to protect the freedom and independence of nonhuman animals while allowing continued research and development on behalf of humankind? How might an animalistic perspective provide scientific communities with an extra layer of insight regarding problems to study! And while ongoing investigations into aspects of primate psychology offer unique perspectives, especially considering that most modern neuroscience is dominated by animal studies conducted at places like Princeton University. Clearly the answer involves more than just understanding science, and in recognizing ourselves as living in an era defined largely by the Industrial Revolution — inventions revolutionized accordingly! Despite its ubiquity, however, there
